Serving the Maitland and Metford area for over 5 years, Hunter Academy of Performing Arts prides itself on delivering excellence and accessibility in dance and performance. At HAPA, we are passionate about the benefits of dance education and the ripple effect that it has on the lives of the youth of today.
We strive to provide affordable dance opportunities to socioeconomically disadvantaged kids, mentoring children of preschool age right through to high school and even adults. We want to ensure that no matter your socioeconomic status, you and your children don’t miss out on the physical, psychological and emotional benefits of dance during youth.
The Hunter Academy of Performing Arts is structured as a sole trader business, yet the owner and founder, Karen Stackman draws no profit from its operations, choosing all surplus income to go towards the costs of running the organisation, from rent, to salaries and supplies for students so that they are able to have a fully loaded experience without the weight of finances laying heavily on their shoulders!
